At Cape Canaveral everything is ready for the Saturday launch of Euclid, the 1.4 billion euro mission of the European Space Agency designed to discover what the dark matter and energy that occupy 95% of the universe are made of. [...] Italy collaborates in an important way in this mission under the guidance of the Italian Space Agency, with the National Institute of Astrophysics, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and numerous universities, including those of Bologna, Ferrara, Turin, Genoa, Salento and Trieste, Statale di Milano, Sapienza di Roma, Roma Tre, Sissa and Cisas.
