Di questi, due sono gli spoke presenti sul territorio triestino , i numeri 8 e 9, attinenti a "Maritime, marine and inland water technologies: towards the Digital Twin of the Upper Adriatic" e "Models, Methods, Computing Technologies for Digital Twin" , rappresentati rispettivamente dall'Università di Trieste e dalla Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati-SISSA.

Al contrario di quanto stabilito dal modello standard, la materia oscura potrebbe possedere la proprietà di interagire con sé stessa. A dirlo è una nuova ricerca pubblicata su "Astronomy and Astrophyics Journal" e condotta da Riccardo Valdarnini, della Sissa.

In a May 2023 study published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, scientists identified seven potential Dyson sphere candidates[...] "We have identified 53 candidates for anomalies that defy explanation, but we cannot conclude that they are all Dyson sphere candidates as that is not our specific focus," said Gabriella Contardo, the lead researcher of the previous study and postdoctoral research fellow at the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, Italy.

La Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia concede, attraverso l'ARDiS - agenzia regionale per il diritto allo studio Friuli Venezia Giulia, contributi per l'abbattimento dei costi di iscrizione e frequenza a master di I e di II livello dell' Università degli Studi di Trieste, dell' Università degli Studi di Udine, del Conservatorio di Trieste o a corsi di specializzazione e di perfezionamento della SISSA di Trieste.
