Italy’s Ministry of University and Research (MUR) has launched the procedures to appoint a new ANVUR President and renew the Agency’s Governing Board.
Two public calls have been published on the MUR website: one for the selection of the President, and one for the renewal of the Board. Candidates for the Presidency must be highly qualified figures, including non-Italians, with recognised experience in higher education, research, and evaluation. The President is appointed for a four-year, non-renewable term.
At the same time, MUR has opened the procedure to select candidates for the Governing Board across four areas: science and technology, life and health sciences, economics-law-humanities, and AFAM (higher artistic, musical and dance education). Applications for both procedures must be submitted online by 7 April 2026.
