Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition 2026 -  Applications open for Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2026!
Deadline for applications: 15 June 2026

Maker Faire Rome 2026 calls Universities and Research Institutes to submit their highly innovative projects at Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2026, which will reward the most deserving projects, offering visibility and the opportunity to interact with an audience of tens of thousands of visitors.

Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition, organized and promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, is the leading innovation event in Europe: the ideal place to connect with the innovation community and show off one’s excellence on an international stage, engaging with an audience of companies, investors, experts and technology enthusiasts.

Its 14th edition will be held from 23 to 25 October 2026 at the iconic Gazometro Ostiense in Rome.

Innovation will take centre stage in all its forms: from aerospace to healthcare, from digital manufacturing to IoT, from robotics to Artificial Intelligence, from agritech to education, covering Big Data and biohacking.

If you want to give visibility to your work, activate new collaborations, and bring research beyond the lab, this is the right place to do it.

Projects can be submitted online until 15 June 2026 through the Bobuild platform, dedicated to exhibitors, available on Maker Faire Rome’s website (www.makerfairerome.eu).

Possible ways to participate include:

  • exhibition of the project, with the possibility of providing a bare area (free of charge);
  • workshop - a hands-on educational session - in the “Make Lab – Creiamo Insieme” area (with the possibility of reimbursement, as per the regulations);
  • live performance, in a public and/or virtual space – with creative, technological, robotic or musical performances;
  • talks: a slot, either online or in person, to give a presentation on subjects relevant to the event’s themes and/or share professional or project-based experience.
