"AI 4 Health: Artificial Intelligence in Research, Diagnosis and Care” is the title of the event organized by ANSA in collaboration with SISSA and with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
The event will take place on November 4, 2025, in the Representation Hall of the Palace of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia 1, Trieste, at 3.00 pm.
The initiative is part of the “La fabbrica della realtà” (“The Factory of Reality”) series of meetings organized by ANSA.
The goal of the event is to explore the connection between AI and health in its various dimensions — from basic research to possible applications in clinical practice, and its use in healthcare services.
The event will be opened by Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Roberto Dipiazza, Mayor of Trieste, and Andrea Romanino, Director of SISSA.
Guido Sanguinetti, scientist at SISSA, will be the keynote speaker.
During the event, Director Andrea Romanino will engage in a discussion on the topic with Cristiano Borean, Chief Financial Officer of Generali. The invited speakers will be:
Gustavo Baldassarre, Director of the Molecular Oncology Unit at the CRO of Aviano; Domenica Bueti, neuroscientist at SISSA; Stefano De Alessandri, AD of ANSA; Sebastiano Saccani, Product Manager and Co-founder of Aindo; Gianfranco Sinagra, Director of the Cardiovascular Department of the University Hospital of Trieste; Laura Travan, Head of the Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at IRCCS Burlo Garofolo in Trieste; Daniele Tognetto, Director of the School of Specialization in Ophthalmology at the University of Trieste;
Gianna Zamaro, Central Director for Health, Social Policies and Disability of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region;
