This morning, SISSA hosted the ceremony for the presentation of the 2025 Antonio Ambrosetti Medal. Established in memory of Professor Antonio Ambrosetti (1944–2020), the prestigious award recognises young researchers who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Nonlinear Analysis.
Now in its third edition, the Ambrosetti Medal is accompanied by a monetary prize offered by the Pietro Pittini Foundation and enjoys the patronage of the Scuola Normale Superiore, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, and the Unione Matematica Italiana (UMI).
A scientific committee evaluated a large number of high-level nominations from around the world and decided to award the 2025 medal jointly to three brilliant mathematicians: Yu Deng from the University of Chicago, Riccardo Montalto from the University of Milan, and Hong Wang from New York University.
