The Master in High Performance Computing (MHPC), jointly organized by the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), is now accepting applications for its 12th edition. This advanced training program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to harness, manage, and optimize cutting-edge HPC technologies.
About the Program
MHPC is a 12-month intensive specialization course that provides a solid foundation in:
· Advanced computing techniques and numerical simulations used in scientific and technical environments.
· Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fundamentals in HPC applications.
· Modern HPC architectures and the latest developments in software engineering.
Courses are taught by leading experts from SISSA, ICTP, and international research institutions. The curriculum is built around real-world scientific and technical challenges, emphasizing the role of HPC in solving complex computational problems.
Scholarships & Support
A range of funding opportunities are available:
· SISSA offers tuition waivers for up to six unemployed PhD graduates (who obtained their degree within the past 12 months).
· ICTP provides a limited number of scholarships for applicants from developing countries, covering both tuition fees and living expenses. The deadline for the applications for these scholarships is much earlier than the deadline for the standard ones, due to time restrictions in the VISA request procedures.
· Other research institutes and private companies may offer additional scholarships or financial aid.
