The Educating Future Citizens (EFC) network is now accepting applications for the event “The impact of AI on research: a reflection on education, research evaluation and publishing”, aimed at PhD students and researchers.
The event will take place only in person on Tuesday, 29 September, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at the former SISSA building in Miramare, via Beirut 2-4 (Trieste, Italy).
The purpose of the event is to collectively reflect and discuss on how AI is reshaping the way we conduct, teach, evaluate and publish research. The programme includes a panel discussion and Q&A session, followed by a participatory workshop in groups to openly share opinions, ideas and concerns, concluding with a final wrap-up at the end of the event.
The speakers are Tiffany Chiu (Principal Teaching Fellow in Educational Development at Imperial College London), Alex Presani (Head of Technology at AgorAI), Giovanni Russo (Postdoc in the Mathematics Area at SISSA), Guido Sanguinetti (Full Professor at SISSA), Roberto Trotta (Full Professor and Director of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory at SISSA).
The event will be held in English and is organised by SISSA and SISSA Medialab.
Applications are open until midnight on Thursday, 24 September.
Places are limited, reserved for PhD students and research personnel from universities and research centres, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants will be notified whether your participation has been confirmed.
