FameLab is back in Trieste: the city will host the local selection of the international competition challenging young scientists with the talent of communication to tell in just 3 minutes the object of his or her study, or a scientific topic they are interested in. The contest will take place on the morning of Friday 4 April 2025, at 9 a.m., in the Sala Luttazzi of Magazzino 26 (Porto Vecchio).
Contestants will have to explain a scientific topic in a clear, engaging and understandable way, even to a non-expert audience. No projections, graphs or videos: they will only have 3 minutes and their ability to convey the fascination of scientific research.
The first two winners of the local selection will receive a cash prize, access to a Masterclass in scientific communication, to be held in Perugia in June, and to the National Final scheduled for the end of September 2025.
The winner of FameLab Italia 2025 will have access to the FameLab International Final, scheduled for November, where they will face other competitors from all over the world.
