Applications are now open for the prizes awarded by the International Balzan Foundation for 2025,which will be awarded in the following four subjects:
Sciences of Antiquity: Revisited Athenian Democracy
Contemporary Art History
Atoms and Ultra-Precise Time Measurement
Gene Therapy or Genetically Modified Cell Therapy
Each of the four 2025 Balzan Prizes will consist of 750,000 Swiss francs. The winners will receive 375,000 Swiss francs personally. The other half of the prize must be allocated to a research project involving young female and male researchers, to be submitted for approval to the General Prize Committee.
