“Le Donne nella Città della Conoscenza” is a photographic exhibition focusing on portraits and voices of women of the scientific and cultural system of Trieste.
It will be open from 8 March until 11 June at the Spazio Trieste Città della Conoscenza in the Central Station of the city (TCC) every Friday and Saturday afternoon from 4 pm to 7.30 pm (except for 3 and 4 June). Schools can book exclusive midweek morning openings. The program includes face-to-face meetings with the women portrayed in the exhibition and special events on gender issues. One of the initiatives will focus on policies and best practices to promote gender equality in the local institutions such as the Gender Equality Plan.
The official opening will take place on 8 March 2022 at 11.30 at TCC. Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Trieste Serena Tonel, the Director of SISSA Andrea Romanino and the President of SISSA Medialab Anna Gregorio from the University of Trieste will hold the ceremony.
