
SISSA International Scientific Advisory Committee (ISAC) will be visiting the School from 15 to 18 December 2025. The purpose of ISAC to assess the progress and development of the School’s scientific activities in relation to international trends. The Committee meets every three years and prepares a written report with recommendations for the future.
The members of the Committee for the three-year period 2025-2028 are: Cristina Alberini, New York University; Michael Brecht, Humboldt-Universität Berlin; Daan Frenkel, University of Cambridge; John March-Russell, University of Oxford; Marc Mézard, Università Bocconi, Ècole Normale Supérieure Paris; Alexander Mielke, Weierstrass Institute Berlin; Hiranya Peiris, University of Cambridge; Anton Alekseev, University of Geneva.
The Committee will meet with SISSA PhD Coordinators, the three Area Coordinators, the ILAS Director, the CUG President, SISSA PIs as well as with the non-permanent scientific staff's representatives, and the PhD students’ representatives. The program also includes a visit to SISSA and to the institute’s facilities.
