Health and Safety Office
The Health & Safety Officer’s role is to prevent accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses in the workplace. They create and implement policies and procedures in accordance with current legislation.
Another important aspect of the role of a Health & Safety Officer is running regular inspections and reflecting their finding in risk assessments, which are used to ensure that any hazards are rectified and risks are at a minimum.
The Prevention and Protection Service must also ensure that all personnel receive adequate health and safety training appropriate for their work. This includes mandatory training, such as emergency management and first aid.
